Mochoarte began with the legacy of a smith. A man whose skill and quiet dedication left a mark on the family that went on to pick up his tools.
The father carried the craft forward, shaping his own one-of-a-kind pieces. After retiring, the chance came to turn a lifelong practice into a small family-run brand. Today the whole household lends a hand: someone sands, someone is behind the camera, someone is answering a message.
Most of what we work with is reclaimed. Wood with its own grain, its own knots, its own past. We try to honour it. Each piece keeps a fragment of where it came from, and adds a new chapter to where it's going.
The smith
A lifetime working metal. The patience and commitment that started everything.
The maker
Picked up the legacy, but now in wood. Designs, carves and finishes every piece by hand.
Many hats
Crafting, photographing, packaging, sending.
